According to Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet ﷺ said: Usury has 73 branches, and the lightest of them is equivalent to a man having intercourse with his mother. (Sunan Ibn Majah, no. 2274, authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani)
