According to Al-Musayyib ibn Hazn: At the time of Abu Talib’s death, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) found Abu Jahl and Abd Allah ibn Abi Umayya ibn al-Mughira with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O my uncle, say La ilaha illa Allah; it is a statement by which I will testify on your behalf before Allah. Reported by Muslim in his Sahih, no. 24.
