According to ‘Urwah ibn al-Zubayr: Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) saw two men and said to one of them: Who is this man to you? He replied: He is my father. Abu Hurayrah then said: Do not call him by his name, do not walk ahead of him, and do not sit before him. (Reported by al-Bukhari in Al-Adab al-Mufrad, No. 44; authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Adab al-Mufrad, No. 32).
