On the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him) said: Every matter in which there is no remembrance of Allah is frivolity or heedlessness, except for four things: a man’s walking between two targets (*), training his horse, playing with his wife, or learning to swim. (Reported by an-Nasa’i and authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani in Silsilah as-Sahihah no. 315).
