The mother of the Prophet ﷺ – Q1
Narrated by ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stopped near a grave. He sat down, and many people sat around him. He began to move his head as if someone were speaking to him, then he wept. I said: What makes you weep, O Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: This is the grave of Amina bint Wahb. I asked my Lord for permission to visit her grave, and He permitted me; I then asked for permission to seek forgiveness for her, but He did not grant it to me. Compassion overtook me, and I wept. ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have never seen him weep as much as he did at that moment. Reported by al-Bayhaqi in Dala’il al-Nubuwwah, vol. 1, p. 189; authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Sirah al-Nabawiyyah, p. 23.
