Repentance 1 – Q3

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-‘Uthaymin (may Allah have mercy on him), in Majmu‘ al-Fatawa: Repentance has five conditions: (1) sincerity toward Allah, (2) remorse for the sin, (3) immediate cessation of the act, (4) a firm resolve not to return to it, and (5) making amends for any harm caused if the sin involves the rights of others.
