Sins 2 – Q3

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymin (rahimahullah), in his Explanation of Riyad al-Salihin, said that despairing of Allah’s mercy is among the major sins, because it amounts to thinking ill of Allah and denying His ability to forgive all sins, as He mentioned in His Book: Say, O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. (Surah Az-Zumar, 39:53)
