On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever performs his ablution perfectly at home and then goes to the mosque to perform the prayer in congregation, for each step he takes, one rank will be raised for him and one sin will be erased. (Sahih Muslim, no. 666)
