Bad behaviors 2 – Q5

Imam al-Shafi‘i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Whoever wants Allah to open or illuminate his heart should refrain from speaking about what does not concern him, abandon sins and acts of disobedience, and maintain between himself and Allah deeds that he keeps hidden from people. If he does that, Allah will make knowledge easy for him, which will occupy him to the exclusion of everything else. (Reported in Manaqib al-Imam al-Shafi‘i and in Ibn al-Qayyim’s Fawa’id)
