Mortuary washing – Q5

On the authority of Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever washes a believer and does not disclose anything about him, Allah will forgive him 40 times. Whoever digs his grave and places him in it will have a reward equivalent to having provided him housing until the Day of Judgment. And whoever enshrouds him, Allah will clothe him on the Day of Judgment in silk and brocade from Paradise. (Reported by al-Hakim and authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani in Ahkam al-Jana’iz, p. 69)
