1. According to Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet ﷺ said: No one should pray in a single garment that does not cover his shoulders. (Sahih Muslim, no. 516).

2. According to Amr ibn Shuʿayb, from his father, from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet ﷺ said: Eat, drink, give charity, and dress yourselves, as long as this is not mixed with excess or arrogance. (Reported by Ibn Majah, no. 3605, and authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani in his verification of Sunan Ibn Majah).
