Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him and his father): the Prophet ﷺ said that the one who upholds ties of kinship is not the one who merely reciprocates, but rather the one who restores and maintains them when they have been cut off. Reported by Sahih al-Bukhari, no. 5991.
