According to Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites the Qur’an, learns it, and acts upon it—his parents will be adorned on the Day of Resurrection with a crown of light; its light will be like that of the sun. They will also be clothed in garments worth more than the life of this world. They will say, What has made us deserving of being dressed like this? It will be said to them, Because your child learned from the Qur’an. Reported by Al-Hakim and authenticated by Shaykh Al-Albani in Sahih al-Targhib, no. 1434.
